African art in the room, is chemically patinated with a heavier application

mirrors forming the backs of these china closets by custom fitting the new
glass after gilding the backs in silver leaf. The leaf was distressed using
chemical patination and mechanically rubbing, then backed up with asphaltum
and paint.
The cabinet finish is a wax resist using four similar colors for a subtle
and believable antiquing. |

of photographs are of a 46' x 15' ceiling at 22' high. The gilding is double
burnished rouge gold 23k and is used in the three areas above the
chandeliers. |

l'oeil raised moldings design and coloring was inspired by work done in
Venetian palaces. They are painted in acrylics. The plaster crown moldings
were base painted and touched off with gold mica powders. |

piece was stippled with three tones of gold mica powders and overtoned with
umber casein paint. The area created between is oil gilded in 23 k gold leaf
then burnished which will catch light from any direction after the

in copper, silver and Dutch gold, chemically patinated for an aged look. We
also gild lamps, frames and accent furniture, to add elegance to a room. |

wall on right is gilded in aluminum leaf and glazed. The figures are heavily
glazed in asphaltum in the shape of the movement of dancers, for which
the residents have a passion. The other walls are French brushed in silver
mica powders mixed with pearl. The ceiling is gently mottled. |
